There are several types of logos; from basic text-based logos to very trendy graphics-based logos.
A specific logo design can be achieved based on the organization's functional objectives and available budget for design and marketing of the logo.
Often, when marketing budgets are high, the logo can be very trendy and may not directly represent the functional objectives of the organization. As long as the logo (or trademark) is vigorously marketed, the audience or consumers will eventually associate the product or the organization with the logo. A ubiquitous example is the Nike logo.
On the other hand, if the marketing budget is limited and the product or service is not geared towards general consumer, a logo design that includes the name of the organization is more appropriate. |
